Osgood is a recurring character in the British science fiction television series Doctor Who. She is a scientist who works for the Unified Intelligence Taskforce (UNIT), an organization dedicated to defending Earth from alien threats.
First appearing in the episode "The Day of the Doctor" (2013), Osgood is portrayed as a brilliant and enthusiastic scientist, often seen wearing an inhaler around her neck. Her expertise lies in alien technology and understanding the potential dangers posed by extraterrestrial beings.
A defining aspect of Osgood is that she is a human/Zygon hybrid. In "The Day of the Doctor", two Osgoods existed, one human and one Zygon, both dedicated to maintaining peace between the two species. While the human Osgood was seemingly killed in "Death in Heaven" (2014), the Zygon Osgood continues to work for UNIT, carrying on the original Osgood's mission. Actress Ingrid Oliver plays the role.
